George D. Ford is a Professor in the Department of Building Construction Science at Mississippi State University’s College of Architecture, Art and Design. He also serves as the Program Director for the Building Construction Science program, where he leads academic development and supports industry-connected, studio-based learning initiatives.

With over 15 years of industry experience in commercial and industrial construction and more than 18–20 years in higher education, Dr. Ford brings a strong blend of practical and academic expertise to his teaching and research. Before joining Mississippi State University, he worked in construction management and engineering education at Western Carolina University.
